De totale oppervlakte van alle landgoederen (inclusief recent gerangschikte NSW-landgoederen en nieuwe landgoederen gesticht na 2005) beslaat circa 34.000-35.000 hectare, 10 procent van het landoppervlak van Overijssel. Zo’n 15 ha bestaat uit bos -40 procent van de Overijsselse bossen liggen op landgoederen-, 12 uit grasland en 4-5 uit bouwland. Het 8 procent van de landbouw in Overijssel heeft plaats op landgoederen. Overig grondgebruik is heide en zand, water, boomgaarden en kwekerijen en gebouwen en erven. Landgoederen maken 25 procent uit van de Ecologische Hoofdstructuur (EHS). Bij de laatste update op 01-08-2021 is enkel het grondgebruik van de verdwenen landgoederen uit deze dataset verwijderd.
