De onderdelen waarover gerapporteerd worden bestaan uit GebiedVerwerving, GebiedInrichting, GebiedBeheer en ResterendeInrichtingsambitie. Het doel van de VRN is om inzicht te krijgen in hoeveel hectare is verworven, ingericht wordt beheerd binnen het NatuurNetwerk Nederland (NNN). Hiervoor wordt uitgegaan van gebieden binnen de vigerende NNN op de peildatum 31 december van het betreffende rapportagejaar. Deze dataset bevat de resterende inrichtingsambitie, uitgedrukt in hectares, weergegeven in een tabel. De resterende inrichtingsambitie is totale inrichtingsambitie minus de omvang van GebiedInrichting vanaf 1-1-2011 tot en met de peildatum van de VRN versie.Deze versie gaat heeft als peildatum 31-12-2024. De data is input voor de Elfde landelijke Voortgangsrapportage natuur over beheerjaar 2024.De dataset is samengesteld in 2025. Op deze datum was de vigerende NNN die uit de Omgevingsvisie d.d. 8-11-2023. De totale inrichtingsambitie vastgesteld in door NM.
